Terms of Service
Last updated 12 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and African Palace. They apply when you place an order, whether or not you create an account.
Ordering
Prices and availability are as shown at the moment you check out. A dish can sell out between you adding it to your basket and the kitchen seeing the order; if that happens we will phone you before cooking anything else.
Everything on your order is priced by us at checkout, not by your device. The total you are charged is the total shown on the confirmation page and on your receipt.
An order is accepted when the kitchen accepts it, not when payment clears. If we cannot accept an order after taking payment, you are refunded in full.
Prices, currency and tax
Prices are shown in the currency you selected. Where a dish has no price set in that currency, the price shown is converted from the branch's own currency at our current rate and rounded — so it may differ slightly from a bank's rate on the day.
Saudi orders include VAT at the prevailing rate, shown separately on your receipt. A tax invoice is issued for every Saudi order.
Delivery and collection
We deliver within defined zones. If your address falls outside every zone, checkout will tell you before you pay rather than after.
Delivery times are estimates. They depend on the kitchen, the traffic and the weather, and we do not guarantee them.
A rider needs to be able to reach you. If we cannot contact you on the number you gave and the rider cannot hand the order over, the food is returned to the restaurant and we cannot remake it for free.
Changing or cancelling an order
You can cancel while an order is still waiting to be accepted. Once the kitchen has started cooking, the ingredients are committed and a cancellation may not be possible.
The exact cancellation window, and what is refundable at each stage, is being confirmed against consumer law in both markets. Until that is settled, ring the restaurant and we will do what we reasonably can.
Refunds
If an order is wrong, missing an item, or not what you ordered, tell us and we will put it right — a refund, a replacement, or a credit, whichever suits you.
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from. We cannot send one anywhere else. Your bank decides how long it takes to appear; a few days is normal.
Statutory refund entitlements for prepared food differ between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and this section will state both once counsel has confirmed them. Nothing here is intended to reduce a right you have by law.
Allergies and food safety
Tell us about an allergy before you order, in the note on the order or by phone. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish and sesame, and we cannot guarantee that any dish is free of traces of them.
Ingredient and allergen information on the menu is given in good faith and can change with a supplier. If an allergy is serious, ring us — do not rely on the menu alone.
Your account
You do not need an account to order. If you create one, you are responsible for what happens on it: keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has access.
We may suspend an account that is being used fraudulently, or to abuse staff or riders. Suspension stops new orders; it does not cancel food you have already paid for.
Promotional codes
Codes have conditions attached — a minimum basket, an expiry, a limit per customer, sometimes a particular part of the menu. Checkout tells you which condition a code failed rather than simply refusing it.
We may withdraw a code at any time. A code already applied to an order you have paid for is not withdrawn retrospectively.
Liability
This section needs counsel in both markets before launch. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may change these terms. The terms that apply to an order are the ones published when you placed it, and we will tell you before a material change takes effect.
